What People Are Saying

An incredible evening of classic country music ! This was Josie’s first time playing at The Riviera Theater. The audience LOVED her and demanded that we bring her back. See you next year Josie.

– David Fillenwarth, Executive Director @ THe Riviera Theater & Performing Arts Center

Josie Waverly may have performed as Patsy Cline on stage, but watching Josie handle herself, the employees at the venue, the media, and the fans was a wonderful lesson on how people are drawn to her kindness. Of course Josie’s voice and stage presence was simply amazing, her ability to have hundreds of people feel like they were in the 1960’s at a Patsy Cline show is remarkable, but her way with people is what has a group like ours desire to bring her back again and again. We (Thebestscholars.org) The BEST Scholarship Group have worked with hundreds of celebrities over the last decade, and Josie is one of the most professional entertainers we have come across. Much love and many thanks.

“An interactive time warp where Patsy Cline lives on! Josie Waverly’s powerful vocal performance left our guests hungry for more! Highly recommend this show!” – Benjamin Herne, Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort Promotion/Entertainment Manager

Josie Waverly, and her band, brought with style a little bit of “Nashville” to our “Rodeo for a Cure” event at the American Cancer Society’s Fairport NY Relay for Life. The participants of all ages tapped their feet, danced, and sang along to many familiar songs. Everyone loved the music! A big thank you to Josie Waverly who gave quite an uplifting gift to all our cancer survivors and the families who have lost someone to cancer. Thank you for sharing your time and talent at the Relay.

“The performance was absolutely amazing! Thank you Josie.”
Bill Reilich, Greece Town Supervisor

I first saw Josie Waverly perform her Patsy Cline show at the Earlville Opera House last year. I was blown away by a fabulous show. I immediately went back stage to make arrangements to bring them to the Palace Theater in Hamilton (Colgate University) where I currently produce shows. For 10 years, I had produced shows at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
Last week we did Josie’s Queens of Pure Country in Hamilton. It was a rousing success, as good a show as you could ever get!
During the past year, putting the details together to present the show, I was impressed with everyone in Josie’s organization. I can easily use words like – helpful, professional, easy to work with, accommodating. It has been a wonderful experience!
I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!

My wife Diane and I went to the RAPA East End Theatre on Sunday afternoon to see Josie Waverly and her performance of “The Queens of Pure Country.” Wow, what a wonderfully talented singer and stunning entertainer! Josie plays the part of many female legends of country music and sings many of the signature songs. If you close your eyes and listen closely, you can picture the real person standing in front of you.
Josie has obviously studied the mannerisms of the stars she plays and emulates them perfectly. Right down to the facial expressions and movements. Josie has an amazing voice! The show is packed with a fast paced movement and organization.

The MC of the show is also an amazingly talented woman named Davida Bloom. She talks with a slow country drawl as the various country queens are introduced. Davida also has a few surprises of her own to contribute to this terrific show! I won’t spoil it for you and will let you be surprised as we were!

The Josie Waverly band is truly a world-class group of professional of musicians.

Sandy Watson plays the pedal steel, electric and acoustic guitars as well as the fiddle. Sandy also, provides back-up vocals. When Sandy plays that fiddle you can’t help but think it’s Charlie Daniels standing there, he is THAT good! His playing of the pedal steel guitar is truly an art. Sandy contributes a stunning professional sound to this music.

Angelo Marasco plays bass guitar. And he really gets into laying down the rhythm for the band. In every group of musical performers, there is always one who bends down while playing the guitar and really moves to each note. The folks can get right into it!

Bob Mondy plays the keyboards and also sings back-up vocal. Bob’s sense of humor and talent on the keys make this show as good as anything you would see in Nashville.

Tim Micsak plays acoustic, lead guitar, dobro and sings back-up for Josie. Tim is an awesome guitar player, but it’s his rendition of a Willie Nelson tune that had me mesmerized.

Two of the very best drummers in the country are Pat McDonald, who has spent the last ten years traveling with the Charlie Daniels Band, and Dave Forti, who has spent the last 21 years touring with The Josie Waverly Band. Dave is an unbelievable drummer and is the timekeeper for the band.

I do not hand out compliments easily. Diane is always trying to get me to find more positive things to say about people. This show was “over the top” entertaining, exceptionally professional, and worthy of national recognition. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see “The Queens of Pure Country.” It is a show you will remember for the rest of your life!

Josie Waverly kick started her New Tour, “The Queens of Pure Country” at The Cabaret at Studio B in Albion, NY this past weekend. Unique in its arrangement of introducing Country’s biggest female stars, this show captivated the audiences attention the entire time! Entertaining, Flawless Transitions, Superb Vocals and the most Talented Group of Musicians to be found! I am humbled to have such a high quality performance in my cabaret. Fantastic!

Two thumbs up for the “My Gal Patsy” performance starring Josie Waverly. This show not only took me on Patsy’s journey but was one of the best orchestrated performances I’ve seen. The musicians and team of technicians were synchronized with Josie’s every move. Josie’s voice and mannerisms made me feel as though I had gone back in time – witnessing Patsy Cline live. True talent, very entertaining with flawless transitions! A must see show!

I saw My Gal Patsy at Downstairs Cabaret. It was an incredible show – so professional. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house, and the standing ovations were well deserved. Singing Patsy’s songs is challenging. And Josie,You are superb! Your band is AMAZING!I hope you come to Toronto sometime soon.–Mike Brennan, Toronto Canada

We had the pleasure of attending “My Gal Patsy” at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre and WHAT A SHOW! Josie Waverly’s, Patsy Cline, both in song and on-stage persona, is a trip to the 50s and 60s, with all those real country favorites that were major hits then, and are gold standards now. The singing was wonderful, the band terrific, the costume changes right on (love those elbow length white gloves)! The on-stage banter among the performers and with the audience, just right! The signature sound quality of every Josie Waverly performance! All this combined made for a really great show in every way! We’ve been talking about it ever since!!! –Dave & Jackie Kaspersin, Dynamic Recording

I saw the show at Monroe Community Hosptial. Soooo very impressed! The auditorium there was the perfect setting for Josie’s powerful voice and for Sandy’s wonderful fiddle sound. I could not sit still – you all were terrific! –Anne Mooney

We had the pleasure of having Josie and Sandy play for us at our senior center in February for the first time and it was wonderful! Not only did they bring new songs and new instruments to our center, they also shared great inspirational stories of how music has changed their lives and opened new creative experiences to both of them. It was such a wonderful afternoon having them here that after they left the participants in our program made comments such as; ‘Wow they are so talented,” “They played songs I have not heard in years,” and “They were so personable it felt like were listening to music in my living room.” Definitely a treat for all, including staff who attended. We will haave them back!

Josie and the band put on an amazing show. They left the audience wanting more. You can bet that they will be back real soon!
–Clara Iacopelli, General Manager, Patchogue Theatre

Our audiences loved Josie Waverly and her band in MY GAL PATSY! We immediately scheduled a return engagement, based on the overwhelming popularity of the show. She does a great job recreating Patsy’s legendary voice, and it makes for a very fun evening.
–Ann Marie Sanders, Marketing & Development Director, Downstairs Cabaret Theatre

It was a very entertaining evening. Listening and watching a professional act on stage recreating what it would have been like seeing the “real” Patsy Cline back in the 1950’s, early 60’s. I remember seeing Patsy as a guest on the Red Skeleton & Ed Sullivan shows on my little black & white TV. I enjoyed her music. Being able to perform and still enjoying such great music after all this time is such a gift. Never give up your dreams Josie.
–Michael Laiacona, President of Whirlwind USA, Music-Audio Distributors Inc.
